Welcome — I’m a client-lead experiential counsellor offering a holistic and gentle approach to trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, couples issues, parenting struggles and postpartum depression.

I work with a diverse clientele,  including those who identify as LGBT2QIA, people of the global majority, elders and adolescents.

What is client-led experiential counselling?

Great question. Client-lead essentially means that I don’t have a set agenda or formula. Instead, I draw on many perspectives to respond to each person individually, bringing in the needed modalities on a case-by-case basis.

What does this look like in practice?

Sometimes, we need to use more than our thoughts to get to the root of an issue — this is what the experiential piece is about. Depending on the circumstance, we may engage in more experientially-based practices that ask us to pay attention to what’s happening in the body at the somatic (sensory) level.

These practices are always done in a safe and supportive manner and consider each client's comfort level.

What will you take away from working with me?

I help clients work towards greater self-awareness, connection with others, and self-acceptance and be able to explore the limiting beliefs that might be holding them back from being their authentic selves.

A little more about myself…

Like many therapists, my own healing journey inspired me to help others on theirs. The adverse experiences of head injuries and later postpartum depression first piqued my curiosity about mental health and its intrinsic ties to our bodies' innate wisdom. I noticed the disconnect between the two in the supports that were available. This motivated me towards an interest in breathwork, trauma, and later, a career in counselling.

I hold a diploma in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and a bachelor's degree in fine art and history. I’m passionate about motherhood, deeply love the natural world, and am especially enthusiastic about yoga, hiking, raising honey bees, and live music.

“I will hold a compassionate and gentle space as we explore what might be holding you back from returning home to you. It takes courage to look within, and I am cheering you on for taking the first steps. We will work at your pace and respect your process while uncovering greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, relational growth and the goals you bring into our work together. In true connection and curiosity, I look forward to getting to know you.”
